Non-contacting & dry running

The A2 shaft seal is based on the principle of the non-contacting carbon labyrinth seal. No additional lubrication is required; the shaft seal is designed for 100 % dry running.

It is the cost-effective alternative to stuffing box packings and lip seals and, unlike these sealing systems, operates without contact. This results in very low-wear and reliable operation. A2 shaft seals are completely pre-assembled cartridge units distinguished by their ease of maintenance and operational reliability.

Applications

Where the A2 is used

The alternative to sealing solutions using a radial shaft seal, stuffing box packing or custom in-house designs (e. g. copper disc or felt ring). To meet customers' needs, the A2 shaft seal was developed together with the leading German manufacturers of turbomachinery.

The A2 shaft seal is used to seal shaft passages in radial and axial fans, dryers, mills, wind turbines, mixers and centrifuges.
